Windy Day Fishin
The wind is whippin today and the Swordfish is the only offshore boat out , they're fishin the Tournament. It was a good week till the wind picked up, they've landed a lot of Dolphin, AmberJack, Wahoo and Cobia.
The inshore boats stayed in today also, but they've had a good week with several nice Cobia and plenty of Spanish and Blues.
The Surf has also had some tough fishin the last couple days because of the wind, but there were some nice catches of Sea Mullet earlier in the week on the North Beaches and some nice Pompano landed on 55 and especially the south end of 49. Pictured is a friend of mine, known as Hoop Dee - the day the picture was taken, he caught 4 nice pompano and anybody who's familier with Hatteras Island can easily tell his location. The next couple days after that picture was taken, that area looked like a Walmart parking lot on sale day, I have named that area the "Hoop Dee Hole" - Word sure can travel fast. The winds gonna lay over the next couple days, the fish bite will turn on again so come on down and get your picture took - River
