Some islanders fish for a living, some islanders fish for fun, some islanders sell fish in their restaurants and some islanders prepare bountiful fish-rich meals for their families. One thing is for sure, the various Hatteras Island fisheries have an impact on those who are blessed to call this place their home and we love sharing them with our friends and neighbors. Wahoo, tuna, and mahi hit the docks on Tuesday from offshore trips.

Inshore we saw good catches of slot size drum, a lot of big sheepshead, bluefish, and some trout!

Another good day of wahoo and tuna fishing on Monday! Also a few mahi and king mackerel scattered in.

Good wahoo fishing continues! Offshore boats also brought in some nice tuna catches and bailer mahi.

Inshore boats had nice puppy drum, and bluefish, and scattered catches of speckled trout.

Awesome wahoo fishing the past 2 days! Boats brought in limits and near limits of wahoo both Thursday and Friday. We also saw tuna and a few mahi. Nice amberjacks, albacore, and king mackerel for the wreck/bottom fishing trips.

Good offshore fishing for the boats that got out Monday and Tuesday. Several wahoo and bailer dolphin, and good catches of blackfin tuna, along with a few sailfish releases!

Boats were able to get back out this weekend after the effects of storm Idalia passed.
