Hatteras Village is on Cape Hatteras Island of the Outer Banks in North Carolina. From the mainland, we can be reached by ferry or driving Hwy 12. Hatteras Village is 56 miles south of the mainland (1 1/2 hours) on Hwy 12 from Nags Head, NC. By ferry from Cedar Island, NC we can be reached in four hours time. One ferry from Cedar Island to Ocracoke, NC takes approximately 2 1/2 hours and the other from Ocracoke to Hatteras, NC takes approximately 45 minutes with a 20-minute drive between ferry docks. The Cedar Island Ferry costs $10 per vehicle and the Ocracoke to Hatteras Ferry is free. Teach's Lair Marina
